Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa                               Last Week We had 2 days last week with everyone in attendance!! We love days when our class is complete 😊. Bucks for Brown envelopes may still be sent. Thank you for considering a donation to our PTO for all the amazing things they do for our school and students! We are so blessed to have parents committed to enhancing the learning and culture of Brown School each and every day.  In Science we have become Weather Reporters. We are charting 8 days of weather together. We will then look at the data and come to conclusions about St. Joe weather in late September. We have been happy to use or iPads lately for something other than NWEA! The class was introduced to SeeSaw and SplashLearn, and have already learned use of Epic, Raz-kids and Wixie. They are...

Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa                               Last Week Spirit Week was loads of fun! Our Student Council plans special days like these and do a great job. My favorite is PJ and stuffy day 😊. Picture day went well. If you are not happy with your child's photo or your child was absent, retakes are scheduled for Thursday, October 23rd. Everyone sure looked nice 😃. Our first Fire Drill was Thursday morning. It was during STEM time in the Media Center so we learned what to do even out of our classroom. Everyone did well! Please make sure to look in your child’s folder every day and remove notes. Important papers and work are sent home often. Your child should have a leak-proof water bottle each day. Gym/tennis shoes are best every day for safety on our playground, but must be worn on Friday for PE (G...

Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa                               Last Week We have completed the ELA portion NWEA fall testing. Our kiddos did a nice job of staying focused and following directions. This is strictly a baseline and also a first for these students. We will take the Math piece next week. The results will come home with progress reports at the end of the Trimester. It has been fun getting the hang of Table and Math Centers in our room. The children are making good choices and enjoying the experiences. Table centers reinforce skills from any of our curriculum areas. Be sure to ask your child what he/she did during center time.  Your child checked out his/her first Library book home on Wednesday. Please encourage careful use of the book. Mrs. Hassenger taught us that we should treat/carry our books as i...
