    Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa                            Last Week My goodness the end of the year has come so quickly. The students have been anxious to help with packing up and cleaning the room. I can't speak to what happens at home, but each one of them is very helpful and great at cleaning and organizing. It has been fun working as a team getting our room ready for summer! Step Up Day was a big hit on Thursday. Our class spent 15 ish minutes with Mrs. Brown and 15 in Mrs. Miller's class. They got a small taste of what 1st grade will be like.  Ask your child what he/she learned about 1st grade.  Summer Reading Challenge information went home with the Book Bonanza books.     Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa                            Last Week I'm sure you have heard from your kindergartener that our trip to Hesston was a blast! What a great place it is! The organization was good and it brought such nice closure to our Train unit in ELA. It has been around since 1956 and I think it has been a best kept secret from most of us in our area. I look forward to bring my grandchildren there this summer.     Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa Friday, May 15 th- Important Hesston Train Museum Information *We will leave school at 9:00 and return at 2:00. *All students need water bottles. *School is providing sack lunches for the students. If you informed me that you are sending a lunch, it must be in a paper sack. *Dress children appropriate for the weather. We will go rain or shine.                            Last Week Happy Mother's Day to all our wonderful Moms!     Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa We are so excited for our field trip to Hesston Train Museum on May 15th! Here is important information regarding the day: We will be eating lunch at Hesston. Students will have lunch supplied by the school. It will be soy butter/jelly sandwich, Goldfish crackers, cheese stick, fruit and juice box. If you plan to send your child to school with a paperbag lunch, please let me know.  Please no lunch boxes we need to return. Please send your child to school with a water bottle. These will be coming with us!  We will be attending rain or shine. As the date gets closer, keep an eye on the weather to ensure children are dressed for outdoor activities!                            Last Week Wow!
