    Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa                            Last Week The weather was the tough part of last week in regard to proper outdoor wear. It is better to be over dressed than under dressed on these winter days. As I write this, snow is continuing to fall as it did all night. Winter has returned and with it, our  need for full gear again. Please send snow pants, boots (shoes for inside),  gloves/mittens and hats when there is snow on the ground. Please check the weather including the "real feel" when choosing what to send. Thank you for your help in keeping all students comfortable while outside.  The 2nd grade performance was great! There was love flowing all over the classroom. 💖 Thank you to the parents who made this happen for us. We appreciate you all so much!  Ice skating was SO much fun. I was really impressed with how well the children did and how brave they were on the ice. A huge thank you goes out to the parents who came to help with skates and skating. We certainly could not have done this without you! This is one of the many things our PTO arranges and pays for.     Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa                            Last Week I sure hope that all our classmates are feeling better and will have some full attendance days. We missed our people! We were so excited on Thursday afternoon when another teacher stopped in during our Math lesson to tell us she was so impressed with how engaged all the students were with the lesson. She then gave us our 10th Class Paws ticket!! It has been our goal that we would have Donuts if/when we get 10. I could not have been happier to bring donuts on Friday morning 😋. We brainstormed and voted on our next 10 Class ticket goal which is an extra recess of running the track. I will keep you posted on how we are doing. It is SO good to see the sun and have temperatures that let us get outside and enjoy this winter wonderland of ours. I hope you were able to do some of that.  Last week we finished up our language arts unit on Weather. We will begin a new unit for all of us about Trains. It looks like it will be a fun time of learning. You will be surprised at all your child may teach you about trains by the end of the unit. 🚆 Our 100th day party was big fun on Friday! I hope your child showed you all the ways we showed how many 100 is! They didn't believe me when I told them we would have 100 snacks.
