Kindergarten Connection

Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa

                      Last Week

Wow, happy snow days to all! I hope you enjoyed the extra-extended weekend with your kiddos and stayed safe and warm throughout. ❆❅❄

Unfortunately, we missed our Planetarium trip (on Tuesday) and our Meteorologist visit (on Friday).

The Planetarium trip has been rescheduled for Monday, March 16th. We are in process with our meteorologist for another date with him.

 Each day your child needs...

  • a water bottle
  • appropriate outerwear
  • shoes

Snack and Leaders

Those students who missed their leader day are welcome to bring a Show and Tell to share. A snack is not necessary.

We have a child with a nut allergy in our class so please refrain from sending snacks with nuts of any kind.

We will snack in the morning each day. Sending 1 snack is plenty as our lunch time is later in the day. It is not necessary for you to send a snack with your child, as the leader provides it each day.

Next Week Events

Friday, January 30—100th Day Celebration-The students will each do a 100th day project to display at school.

Information for this came home on Thursday. Please reach out with questions. We will be ready to display the projects as

early as Wednesday. It is hard to believe we are already to this point in our year!

Upcoming Events

Friday, February 13--Valentine's Day Celebration-We will make Valentine bags in class for collection. I will send home

directions for how to address your child's valentines and class lists on Friday. As far as valentines go, you will be given a sheet with each of our classmates' names and numbers in boxes. Your child is to cut out all the names and tape or glue one on each valentine to be distributed during our party. Your child will only need to sign his/her name to the valentines they wish to give to classmates. It is a great matching activity as each child will have made a Valentine Bag at school with the same name and number box. If you have any questions once you get the sheet, please let me know.

Thursday and Friday, February 12, 13--1/2 day of school--Parent/Teacher conferences

Monday, February 16-No school for students--PD for Staff

Friday, February 27-1/2 day of school--End of Trimester 2
