                      Last Week


The Valentine's Day party was a huge success! There was love flowing all over the classroom. 💖 Thank you to the parents who made this happen for us. We appreciate you all so much! 



Ice skating was SO much fun. I was really impressed with how well the children did and how brave they were on the ice. A huge thank you goes out to the parents who came to help with skates and skating. We certainly could not have done this without you! This is one of the many things our PTO arranges and pays for. We are so blessed to have such wonderful, caring, and generous support from you all.

We have a child with a nut allergy in our class so please refrain from sending snacks with nuts of any kind.

We will snack in the morning each day. Sending 1 snack is plenty as our lunch time is later in the day. It is not necessary for you to send a snack with your child, as the leader provides it each day.  

Next Week Events


Our Positivity Project trait is Humor-We love to laugh and make others happy.


On Tuesday, Mrs. Gideon will be our substitute teacher as I assess the children 1-1. She is excited to spend the day with our kiddos and I know they will love being with her. 


We get to see the 2nd grade program on Wednesday afternoon. We love seeing the "big kids" perform! It helps us learn to be a good audience as well. 


Our next guest reader will be Mrs. Green on Wednesday, February 18. Please come at 3:15 with 3-4 of your favorite books. We will see you then 😀.

Friday, February 27-1/2 day of school--End of Trimester 2


Wednesday, 3/4-Sarett Nature Center Field Trip. I will send a reminder note to those assigned to join us.

We will be at Sarett from 2:00-3:00.


Please mention our Kindergarten Round Up to any families with incoming Y5/Kindergarten children.

Our kiddos did a nice job of staying focused and following directions. This is strictly a baseline and also a first for these students. We will take the Math piece next week. The results will come home with progress reports at the end of the Trimester. It has been fun getting the hang of Table and Math Centers in our room. The children are making good choices and enjoying the experiences. Table centers reinforce skills from any of our curriculum areas.   Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa                               Last Week If you are able, please send your assigned item Gingerbread item to school on Monday. I will be shopping for any needed items a items after school. You can also let me know if you are sending your item on Tuesday so I don't pick up unneeded things.. There is still time to get those Christmas trees in. They decorate our hallway so beautifully 🎄. Our class sizes has had some changes the last couple of weeks. Our Jaycion went to a different class and we are getting a new student on Monday. We are happy to welcome Ian to our class and look forward to helping him to feel welcomed.  Our class size is 25 children again now 😊.     Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa                            Last Week My goodness the end of the year has come so quickly. The students have been anxious to help with packing up and cleaning the room. I can't speak to what happens at home, but each one of them is very helpful and great at cleaning and organizing. It has been fun working as a team getting our room ready for summer! Step Up Day was a big hit on Thursday. Our class spent 15 ish minutes with Mrs. Brown and 15 in Mrs. Miller's class. They got a small taste of what 1st grade will be like.  Ask your child what he/she learned about 1st grade.  Summer Reading Challenge information went home with the Book Bonanza books.
