Kindergarten Connection

Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa

We are so excited for our field trip to Hesston Train Museum on May 15th!

Here is important information regarding the day:

  • We will be eating lunch at Hesston. Students will have lunch supplied by the school. It will be soy butter/jelly sandwich, Goldfish crackers, cheese stick, fruit and juice box. If you plan to send your child to school with a paperbag lunch, please let me know. Please no lunch boxes we need to return.

  • Please send your child to school with a water bottle. These will be coming with us!

  • We will be attending rain or shine. As the date gets closer, keep an eye on the weather to ensure children are dressed for outdoor activities!

                      Last Week

Wow! Did our green beans take off over the long weekend!! All plants came home either Monday or Tuesday. As I handed them to the children at the end of the day, I crossed my fingers that at least one of the plants made it! If you were able to replant them, I would love periodic pictures to share with the class. I choose these because they grow so quickly. There may even be some small beans beginning before the end of the year.

Yearbooks came home last week for those who ordered them. We often have extras so if you would like 1 reach out to Mrs. Smith in the office.

We have been working on some surprises for Moms last week. Be on the lookout for something on Thursday or Friday. 😉

We have been reviewing high frequency words each day. Please work with these words at home with your child as well. Each word learned helps the reading process move forward. If you need me to send home another copy of the words, I will be happy to. Just let me know.

We have a child with a nut allergy in our class so please refrain from sending snacks with nuts of any kind.

We will snack in the morning each day. Sending 1 snack is plenty as our lunch time is later in the day. It is not necessary for you to send a snack with your child, as the leader provides it each day.
